Default What used to be your main hobby before you replaced that with guitars?

Mine was playing video games. I haven't touched it since I bought my first guitar almost two months ago if I can recall.

Flying radio control airplanes. Since learning guitar 8 years ago we joined a music club with regular camping weekends and while it's easy to fit in a guitar or two, a plane with a 1.5 metre wingspan is too big. So now I fly radio control drones. Still spend far more time on the guitar. RC is now a minimal interest

Skiing and it still is...just not something I can do every day.

Before guitar I replaced ski gear every two years. Traveling the US. Canada and Europe looking for that elusive perfect ski run. Subscribed to three magazines Powder, Skiing and Ski. Never missed a Warren Miller movie each winter or the annual Skidazel trade show. I was obsessed.

I collected packing noodles in the shape of USA presidential heads. Was up to 34. The Tyler one was jarringly lifelike.

I have played guitar since I was a kid. But my last hobby, that interfered with guitar, was billiards.

I spent 4 decades flying hang gliders. A back problem ( not related to flying) forced me to stop. I took up playing, and some repair work, and now am an amateur builder.

Golf and guitar are my two main hobbies. And golf GAS is just as bad as guitar GAS. You have to do some serious rationalization to justify the purchase of a new putter when you already have five of them!

I have several hobbies, but martial arts for many years, all while playing and performing music. I've been involved in martial arts and music since my pre teens.

These days I fish a lot, along with my father, brother and son. We love it, and go every chance we get.

Playing accordion. I was even in a large accordion band that performed a lot. Then at age 14 I dropped it hard and fast and picked up guitar and from then its been guitar and gigging a lot. My parents had just bought me a very high end electric accordion and amp. About a month later came the sudden lack of interest in anything other than acoustic guitar.
