Best years of the "modern" J45?

I played my first J45 Standard a couple of days ago on a request from someone telling me that I needed to try one out. I've been in the market for a Taylor 317e GP and I honestly just have tunnel vision and usually only look at Taylors. I loved the J45 and now think I want one one of these days. I loved the big sound from it compared to my Taylors. Loved the bass. It is just out of my price range at this time.

Look for some used deals and you'll find something incredible if you're patient.

I've got a 2017 in the mail. This thread is raising my expectations a bit.
