Default New Strap Day [John Denver Content]

For the past few years, I have had a desire to have a custom guitar strap made.
I know a leather smith that does great work and his guitar straps are the best.

I am a big fan of John Denver and his song "Eagles and Horses".
In my mine I can visualize this scene on a guitar strap.

I contacted Dave at Nay's Custom Leather and told him of my vision for the strap.
Dave has a shop near Salt Lake City Utah.
He said that he thought he knew what I wanted so I commissioned him to make my strap.
When I picked up the finished product, I was totally blown away with what Dave had made for me.

I will try to add some pictures of the strap here.

Woah! Not a horse reference but an exclamation of this artisan's great work. Outta sight!

That’s very impressive work. Please tell Dave that we all said “Ooooh” and “Ahhhh” with sincere appreciation and admiration for his skill.

And, in tribute to John Denver, one of us said, "Far out!"

Beautiful. The scene is amazing and the rest of the tooling is fantastic too.

Thank you all for the nice comments.
I am still taken away by the craftsmanship on this strap.
Dave at Nay's Custom Leather is the best.

I could totally see John wearing that, playing his F50R AA or his L53, or his Mossman...or his...

John would love that strap!

Enjoy it...it would look mighty nice on your L-20A too!

That is really, really nice. Would it be out of line to ask what it set you back? Or would you prefer to keep that private?

The price was $225.00 and worth every penny. The amount of time to make a strap like this would be a lot. The cost was more than reasonable.

Actually I think you robbed him. That's worth at least what you paid, and likely more.

I think John Denver has had the last laugh, after all this time. You don't see people getting artwork made from Charlie Rich songs.
