Default K&K Double Helix or TRI-AX2 sound hole pickup paired with Cool Tube CPT-2?

Has anyone here tried both the K&K Double Helix and TRI-AX with the Takamine CPT-2 (or CPT-3 for that matter) Cool Tube Preamp? I’ve read that the Takamine TRI-AX is “system matched” to the Cool Tubes and wondering if the Double Helix may offer close to the same, better or a much worse result. Any thoughts on this comparison or how either pickup pairs with the preamp would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I had a Tri-Ax and a CTP2 in my EAN20C. In all honesty the Tri-Ax, whilst matched perfectly with the preamp, didn’t add a huge amount to the tone. Maybe a touch more complexity but nothing majorly noticeable. Took the Tri-Ax out and fitted it to my SJ200 as a stand-alone unit and it excelled there.

I think the Double Helix may not jive as well with the preamp as it may not be impedance matched. Worth checking that for sure before spending out.

I’m curious why did you switch from the CTP-2 to the CT4BII?
