Default Gibson Custom Shop Experience?

Hi,

I’m thinking of having a CS J-45 made. Mostly because I like the 50s style pick guard and want a cherry sunburst finish. May want a specific neck profile, need to try some J-45s side to side with my AD17, that neck is glorious.

Curious about others experience. If you’ve had one made, was it worth it? Are you happy with the result?

Never tried the Custom Shop for an acoustic, but have done a few custom electrics and they've all turned out awesome. Only thing that was not great was the wait, around 15 months.

One big problem that I see is that Gibson's seem to vary wildly. Once you order a Custom Shop guitar, you own it whether you like it or not.
