Default Here There and Everywhere (Lennon/McCartney) Katy on vocals

A few months ago, I posted a solo guitar arrangement of this tune ( https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=638733 ).

Katy is singing this time.

Nice job. I would prefer the vocal more prominent in the mix. Such a lovely voice but needs to be louder, in my opinion.

That was lovely, Nate. You both have such a great feel for the song….pretty good choice of material, too

Thanks for watching and listening, Roger. I wish we could adjust the volume of the voice and the instrument, but we record live direct to video, it's not possible change the relative levels of the instrument and voice post-recording. We always record several takes and try to use the one which captures the best performance, and has a minimum of background noises. While we always strive to get a good balance while performing, it's always a challenge.

Regards,
Nate

Hi Nate and Katy,
Your recording is very nice, very real, and very touching.
Your guitar playing is always a beauty.
Your musical passion is truly evident and much appreciated.
And I love that the microphone/s you are using is not visible.
I also do my videos/recording the same way you do, one take (but many takes actually) and love the performance, with no additions after the recording.
Lovely performance, and excited to see more from both of you!!!
Rene

Hi Nate and Katy,

That was very well done! This is not an easy to song to sing well, and you pulled it off. And nice job on the guitar Nate! Very nice solo in there!

This song, to me anyway, is so much like Paul McCartney. One of his best songs.

- Glenn

Thanks for watching and listening once again, Rene!
Like you, I do enjoy the immediacy and the purity of an unadorned "one take" live performance.
I often wish that we had a more quiet place to record and better equipment so that the quality of the audio was better, but we just make do with what we have.

Keep singing them strings, my friend!

Thanks for watching and listening, Glenn. I totally agree that this is one of McCartney's best. It is certainly one of my favorites.
