Default Have you seen the Halcyons lately :-O

If you just want to get to the beef of this thread just scroll to the BOLD link and spend all day drooling over what Ed's turning-out these days. HOLY!!

I realize that I've become the Halcyon cheerleader fanboy but can you blame me?
Have you seen the stuff coming out of Ed's shop lately??
:-O
My GOD.

I'll tell you what...if I was rich or a lottery winner I'd be ordering a Halcyon daily.

Looking at the builds reminds me of being a youngster trading sports cards.
Got it, need it, need it, need it, need it, need it, need it, need it, need it.

I have a new name for Halcyon guitars.
Marriage Enders.
Facepalm.

I cant afford another Halcyon because/but my ex wives can. :facepalm

If I was still married I'd be allowed to watch porn online all day.
Wife: You BETTER not be looking at more Halcyon guitars!!
Husband: No no don't worry honey. I'm just watching porn again.
Wife: Ok GOOD! You're LUCKY!
Me: Can you bring me another box of tissues please? This ziricote is SO..I mean Zoey...Zoey the pornstar is SO beautiful.

When I first saw Halcyon guitars it was in a thread here at AGF called recession killers or something like that.
They were the lowest priced (really the best value because they were NEVER "low quality") custom built acoustic guitars on the planet.

They are still the best deal out there (period) but now they are also the most shockingly beautiful guitars you'll see for less than $10K.
Ok wait...I realize that there are incredibly gorgeous looking $200 imports that are super-glossy HIGHLY-figured veneer-covered beauty contest winners out there but...
DO go to the Halcyon instagram (linked) or facebook page and see what Ed's putting-out these days.

WARNING!! This IS a willpower test.

When I got my first Halcyon ...well I don't even want to repeat the recession-fighting prices they were offered at originally but...wait/build times were...you better sit down for this...6-8 WEEKS!

Now? I think you're looking at 2 years or so.
If that seems painful, BITE THE BULLET and JUMP right now because...
bet time
I'll wager that by the end of 2020, you'll be waiting THREE YEARS to have a Halcyon built.

So, we know what I would do if I had the $.
If I was magic or had a one-wish granting lamp-genie I'd wish Ed a new helper/apprentice.

Get your Halcyon guitars NOW if you want to have one in THIS lifetime.

Thank GOD I jumped onto the bandwagon when I did.

Oh and in case I forgot to mention...they play and sound even better than they look. By looking at the visual masterpieces you'd swear that the builder's priority is to make eyecandy.
WRONG.
He has access to and is using some jawdroppingly beautiful looking wood but Ed is still making (and his priority is still clearly) extremely toneful "player" guitars but now they are the best sounding and playing guitars that deserve to be hanging on the wall and not under the bed or in the closet in a case.

LOL...this is the Halcyon bubble.
They keep getting more beautiful with more options available than ever (ex: cutaways, multi-piece necks, pickups....) and they're still SO underpriced but mark my words..it will all come crashing down after a loud POP any day now. Ed will be seen playing one and...LOOK OUT!

I'm not kidding and I'm doing you a huge favor when I say wait NO more. Order your Halcyon now or it WILL be too late.

Either Ed will end up in prison (the charge will be building outrageous guitars and selling them at outrageous prices in the first degree) or the current 2 year wait times will leap to 10 years and prices will increase 5-fold too.

When that happens you'll be stuck slumming-it and playing a Martin or Gibson or Taylor or Collins, or....

WOW!!!
Just WOW Ed!!

Lol - this was like something you'd hear on late night TV infomercials. I checked out the Instagram page. Yep, those are definitely Halcyon guitars. Ed definitely has found his niche. And apparently his new salesperson.

But wait there's more.....every Halcyon comes with the amazing Shamwow, and for a limited time you will receive a free Slapchop -- but only if you act now!!

I guess I'm luck for two reasons. First, I'm not going to join Instagram to see guitar photos. Next, I don't buy guitars based on photos. I know Ed makes fine guitars but If I were buying guitars based on looks and photos, I would have a house full of Taylors. No one makes better looking guitars than they do.

I was looking hard at Ed's guitars a few years ago, but I couldn't find any quality finger style recordings of any of his guitars so I passed.
