Default Cordoba C12's Wonderful Sound

I've played only a few Cordoba's but this C12 recording is wonderful. I had no idea a Cordoba could sound quite this good.

Default Video recordings

I never trust a video sound to determine a guitar's actual quality.
From mics to effects, its not possible to hear the actual guitar unless your in front of it. My .02 cents.

Add my 2 cents in agreement with this, and we're almost up to a nickel. There are far too many variables in the recording and playback chains to rely on videos. The exception might be sites like Savage Classical, which I believe records all their guitars under identical conditions. And only then can you get a RELATIVE assessment of how the guitars sound.

My experience with the 3 C12's I've owned is that I actually prefer the fan braced 9/10 series.

Two of the 12's were the LTD Madagascar too, and I was expecting them to really swoon me (I normally really like Madi and Honduran RW guitars) but my spruce/mahogany modified C9 won out in all three cases.

My C12 SP/IN was a wonderful instrument. But I too preferred my F10. The 12 was powerful, but stiff playing compared to the 10. Obviously, the 12 is a classical and the 10 is a flamenco. But I also think that the 9/10 series is the sweet spot.

The piece is entitled Mirandote, the last piece in a collection of compositions by Cuban composer Eduardo Martin, "Album de la Inocencia"

The music is beautiful! It is expensively available on Amazon:

On the usefulness of video, I agree that one needs to use caution as with the sound engineering available these days, almost any guitar can be made to sound wonderful. We were the first site to offer mp3 of all the actual guitars in-stock, and have since gone to video. We try hard to offer honest recordings, but also find that using good equipment is key to real fidelity. These are available on our site or on youtube, and I hope are of use to those who would like to compare guitars, or hear what rare bests like a 1761 Guerrera de Cadiz, or a Manuel Ramirez guitar sound like.
