Yes I'd be interested in knowing that too. The V5 could stand an upgrade but my V22 I'm very happy with the amp as is.

I've owned an outrigger full of amps. If my wife were here I'd ask how many and she would know the exact number. I'll give you three choices based on the OP.

Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue. 22 watts for home and moderate sized venues if you ever decide to play a jam or gig in the future. Within your budget for a clean used amp. Pretty basic, so you may need pedals or an effects stomp box.

Fender Mustang III. 100 watts but suitable for home or gigs. All the effects you should need are on board including a fast and easy to read tuner. Well under your budget new. This is my current go to amp, based on its light weight and good sound. It will not sound as good as a tube amp, but its darn close. Great price value. Won't need a pedal board.

Fender Deluxe Vintage Modified (VM). Out of production but similar to the DRRI. It is pretty basic, so you may find yourself adding pedals or effects stomp box. I still own this amp and take it to gigs where load in/out are short without stairs. Its not that heavy but I'm at a point where I'm thinking about cutting down on gig gear and weight and loading trips.

Hope this helps.

I too am very pleased with my V22 as is. At some point in the future I will do the upgrades suggested by Steve.

JAN Phillips AT7 and Tung-Sol EL84. Some have also swapped the speaker for an Emnence 820H which apparently really opens it up.

I read the sales pitch on the tubes at the tubestore and the reviews on the speaker at Sweetwater and everybody was raving about these upgrades, so I went for it. Having all that goodness in a compact easy to transport amp sounds like a winner to me, and should work out great for me at my gigs. The V22 I would prefer to leave at home in my kitchen !!!!!!!!!The upgraded V5 should end up being the perfect grab and go amp for me.

Question: what is the difference between a Bugera V22 and a Bugera V22 Infinium?

I believe the Infinium has a circuitry that varies the voltage to the tubes as needed which extends the life of the tubes. I'm not sure if the older models have this or not.

Thanks. I believe the V22 is discontinued, replaced by the Infinium (?)

You can tell the difference between a Vintage V22 and Infinium V22by the color of the on/off light. The vintage amps have a blue light, and the newer ones have a yellow light. I have a yellow light on mine, a friend has a blue light on his older model. I don't know if the older models are still in production.
