I bought a Roland Cube 30x for my electric Les Paul, but find it very capable with my acoustic too. I know it wasn't specifically intended for acoustic like the AC-33, however, I have listened to that one too and don't know why I would pay almost double for the AC-33 when the Cube 30x sounds this good.

If you can afford it (and carry it!) the Rivera Sedona is a great amp, IMHO.

Another plug for the Rivera Sedona Lite, a dedicated acoustic amp with great vocal characteristics. Nice warm tube compression.
Sedona Combo 55 is for acoustic and elec, but more $$$

I've always been under the impression that AER and Rivera are considered to be "better," but I love the sound quality of my Ultrasound Pro250.

Take a look at the Phil Jones AAD Super Cub 300. I don't own this particular amp, but I do own its little brother the Cub 100. It is one fine sounding little amp that has a small footprint with a BIG SOUND. Here is a link to a demo of both amps.

Good Amps
I used a Roland AC 60 for a long time. Very good guitar and vocal sound. Then went to the Fender Acoustasonic UltraLite. Excellent guitar and vocal channels with excellent effects. Sometimes I output out the back if needed to a powered PA speaker like a 15" JBL Eon which makes this thing walk and talk.
But stand alone will handle coffee houses and partys. A friend has the next step down the Fender Acoustasonic combo amp. A lot heavier in weight but powerful as all get up also. |

What acoustic amp matches with Ibanez 10EVS
I haven't touched a guitar since the early 1970s but now that I'm retired and have more time to practice.
I recently bought a new Ibanez AEG10EVS electric acoustic guitar . It is equipped with an IBANEZ SST PreAmp / Tuner, Fishman equipped . It has 3 controls, a push button tuner with LED lights, a control knob for volume and push button for phase as well as sliding controls for shape, treble, middle and bass. It's not a top line guitar but it's a decently made good reliable practice guitar. I expect to use it for pleasure in my home or backyard for an occasional house party. I would like to be able to check on my playing and record myself to make sure I sound ok. Also an amp will compliment the guitar and produce a nice fuller sound with some neat effects. Basics would include dual channels, XLR input, reverb, chorus, flange, delay, looping, etc. I like the thumb picking style with an occasional back beat and I would like to have an echo delay/repeat feature on the amp. I'm looking for a small amp that would be compatible with my Ibanez AEG10EVS and thumb/finger style music in a home or backyard environment. I won't be buying an amp most likely until May/June . There is so many amps coming on stream with new impressive electronic technology. I would like to narrow it down to 3 amps . In the meantime I'll start looking so by the time I'm ready to buy I'll know what I need and want. Once I find a few suitable amps I'll take my guitar to the store and test for tone, etc. Any thoughts or suggestions on what I need and don't need are welcome. Thank you for letting me share this forum. |

Welcome to the journey. I've been researching this question for a couple of months now and I'm only a little closer to my answer.
You need to have a price range in mind, unless that's a non-issue for you. I've decided on an amp rather than a small PA, but that's another decision you'll need to decide. How important are the effects? The weight? How many inputs do you need? How much headroom? The biggest problem I have found is that many of the excellent choices are not readily available in the local music store. Henriksen Bud sounds great on the video and handles many types of guitars equally well. Tiny amp, great sound, light - but is it loud enough? AER, Schertler Jam 150 (which I am leaning toward at the moment)? I don't seem to be able to hear them live. Lots of choices. That's a good thing, but it's also a little paralyzing for me. |

My price range is between $100 and $300 and I think I might get lucky and come up with a suitable nice amp for around $200.

If you push you budget up just a bit you could snag a new Fishman Loudbox Mini. They truly sound amazing and are quite powerful for their size.

Roland keyboard amps are great with acoustic guitar. Huge clear sound.

I am sure I will get booed for this but I got a loudbox mini and thought it sounded tinny or thin. The speaker is 6.5" and I think for a good amp you need at least an 8. Sent it back. I think if you want a good amp Ultrasound ag50 is best bet but finding one is like an act of congress.

I'm sure it's a nice amp but it's over the top price wise for me. |

I also noticed a guitar Roland CUBE-20GX at $240. I realize there is a 10 watt difference between the above. I'll take a closer look to compare the difference between them. |
