Default NFSMD! (New Fender StringMaster Day)

New Fender StringMaster day!

Brought this 1960 Fender StringMaster home today. Two 8 string necks and tone tone TONE!

Took a buddy from out of town to visit Carter's Vintage Guitars in Nashville today. I left the store with this guitar. I've been looking and saving up for one for quite awhile and this one just found me.

It's surprising that so many folks don't know it, but the tele wasn't Leo's first commercially available guitar

That guitar is totally Bad-Donkey!!!! I'm strictly 6 string in both acoustic and electric Lap, so the possibilities in your new guitar blow my mind!

Right now I have neck #1 tuned to C6 and neck #2 to E13 and it's so fun to jump back and forth between them in the mid-song and get totally different vibes from the different tunings.

Congratulations, David! The triple 8 Stringmaster I acquired in 1976 was my ticket to playing for (not very much) money in 1978. As you're discovering, the form-follows-function elegance of the Stringmaster makes it one of the most expressive instruments ever made.
