Default Guitar number 2 for BIG

It’s an OM (my take on an OM called the West Coast).
14 fret, 25.5 inch scale length (sorry Fender)
Brazilian Rosewood body.
Tunnel 14 top with mineral streaking
Kia at binding
Fiddleback mahogany purfling
Scheller tuners

That John Kinnaird-- There's just no end to this guy's luthierial (not a real word) wizardry!

What a unique knack you have, John, for making guitars with a super high level of sumptuous, opulent design. Your guitars will always stand up and command attention in any room full of other guitars. I'm a huge fan of your work, sir. And just looking at this one, I can tell it has legendary tone built in. I'm pretty enthralled with that Tunnel 14 Redwood too, having built four guitars with it just this year, and putting that overtop of Brazilian Rosewood, well, you're not playing fair, man. There's no competing with that.

Once again, a raucous round of applause for Kinnaird East!

Another stunner, John. Some of the detailing is similar to my Bog Oak Graybeard which I love--it works really well here as well. Beautiful woods and execution!

OOoooooh Aaaaaah !!!

All these lovely artworks going to BIG. I'm really glad I'm on the other side of the world as I'd have serious GAS just looking at these guitars.

That curved armrest looks a million bucks as well. That binding wood is WELL worth repeating - that's just mad.

Thanks Steve. You are a wordsmith but indeed your guitars compete very well so clearly you are a wood smith as well.

Thanks very much. Yours was the first of that general design and I liked it so well I went back to that well for this guitar. In fact I just bought another bog oak set and might do this theme three times.

Many thanks sir. Why not pop in to a guitar show in the US sometime.

I have to say, that armrest bevel could be the prettiest I have ever seen.

What a handsome guitar. Your rosette and the fiddleback work with the Brazilian and redwood so nicely. To me, it just looks like a guitar that wants to be played.
Well done.

I keep seeing “stunning” and completely agree.
And the arm rest, the neck… beautiful craftsmanship.

Thanks. I’m particularly glad you think well of the neck. I have never done a black neck before. Sort of a limb I went out on.

Wow John…she’s a beauty!!!…..and right up there with the most “aesthetically-cohesive” guitars I’ve ever seen. I’m eager to see this one in person, my Friend.

Thanks very much Joel. Aesthetically cohesive is a term seldom heard in these parts. I always enjoy your verbal gymnastics.

Oh man, I'd love to play that one next to mine in another week or so. That's the one topwood that I have not tried that people have told me I need to try.

I’d hate to go up against that west coast of yours. It’s got some age now and lots of notes. I bet it has opened nicely.

A lot of notes. But you know, it was good from the start. I am thinking these are good from the start, too.
