Default Jump at the Sun cover - accordion/concertina arranged for guitar

My feeble attempt at John Kirkpatrick's "Jump at the Sun". I have heard it described as a Celtic tune with a Mediterranean flair or as an old time tune of mysterious origin. There are third party lyrics referencing Irish gypsies and tinkers. It is actually an accordian/concertina tune composed by John Kirkpatrick and recorded on his album of the same name in 1972. I had a difficult time getting the cross-picking across four strings in 6/8 and took advantage of the many opportunities to make a mistake! I am in standard tuning on a Guild F 512.

The first B part I adapted from a Katy Adelson fiddle tutorial, the second B part from a Pete Huttlinger house concert video.

That was fun, Jim!

Nice to hear you playing your 12-string!

Thanks for noticing Glenn. That is a fun tune to play, but you would never know it by the grimaces on my face LOL. I am one of those people who can play numerous instrumentals by myself, but bring in a camera or a live audience and I just fall apart.
