I’ve been so pleased with my Indonesian-made 2622 that I ordered Gretch’s new 2215-P90 from Sweetwater. Once again, I’m very impressed. I can’t find a single flaw on the instrument and the binding and fretwork is immaculate. The action was great right out of the box and the P90 is a great complement to the bridge BT. I don’t have a lot of play time yet but three bills for this guitar seems like a steal!

I have a G2655T that I really enjoy. I have been eyeing that exact model that you just got as I would like to try a guitar with a P90. After you get some time with it, I’d love to hear your opinion of the sound vs the standard broadtron.

Treeman, I’m not an expert at describing sound but I’m pleased with the P90. I debated between this and the 2210 because I’ve previously owned a Terry McInturff Royal with P90s and we never got along. Despite that I ordered this since I wanted some variety.

My impression is that the P90 has a rounder sound and more pronounced mid-range than the BT. It can produce a satisfying growl but cleans up easily with the volume. I’m just beginning to tweak pickup height and poles but I like how the P90 and BT interact. The bridge position has a bit of spank and twang and when you go to the mid position it’s a great mix.

I’m sure there will be some better reviews coming but that’s my impression.

That's a handsome guitar. Love the fret markers.

Congrats! I'm sure the P90 sounds sweet in that guitar. I just checked it out now at the Long & McQuade website. Enjoy!
