Default Letting my archtop roam in its natural habitat

Man this horn section was HOT tonight. Sold out the Franklin Theatre tonight, and tomorrow night's show is sold out too. The guys in this band play with the likes of Michael McDonald, Paul Simon, Elton John, Prince, ..... etc.... Getting to play my archtop (Gibson L-5) in this band is a goal I've worked for over 4 decades.

A couple more photos from the gig. Who says jazz is dead?

If any of them have been playing with Prince lately you might want to look for another gig...

Most of us withdraw to our home studios as the market for live music diminishes. It's really good to see someone out performing. As it should be. Congrats.

Last night we played the 2nd of the two night gig. Wow! Just incredible to share the stage with this level of talent. Jeff Coffin from The Dave Matthews Band was playing tenor sax and took some incredible solos. I was hanging on for dear life as some of these tunes had some pretty wild chord changes on every beat and the tempo at times exceeded 320 BPM But it was the kind of gig that forces you to grow. So thankful for this opportunity, and glad I put in the time prepping for it.

They had a film crew there last night and captured the audio with an individual track of for every instrument and drum mic, so hopefully we'll get some video at some point.
