"Sticky pull offs" - advice from advanced players needed...
I'm getting for lack of a better word, "sticky" pull offs, as illustrated in the offending demo below (the end section). Now my calluses aren't peeling or deeply ridged so I hesitate to sand them down just for one small section of one song out of about 15 or so that I practice. I'm wondering, before I go chasing rabbits, is it a technique thing where you might, for instance, push up towards the fret while peeling the pull off?

Hammering down on the frets too hard creating noise (probably fingers too high off the fretboard). However despite that the pull offed notes have a weak sound. So, keep fingers closer to fretboard and pull the strings a little sideways (towards floor) on the pull offs.

What, exactly, is sticking to what? There is a technique where the movement of pulling a finger off the string powers the next note. Do you do that? I can't tell from your recording what is wrong with your pull-offs but there does seem to be an element of speeding up at that point.
