"She never knew me" (Don Williams)
There is a version on youtube by Allan Spinney that I really like but am having trouble determining the chord transition in the first line of the verse from C to what appears to be an Em and then to an Am but it seems I am missing something. I have tried to get it by just listening but still unsure so if anyone would help I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks so much, Mike |

If this is the version you refer to then
C11, G4 but no 6th, Am7, G4, F, C, D, G (x2) .... ? |

stanron's tab is basically it, except he hits that 2nd string C at the end of the bar, and pulls off to the open B:
Code:
E╓─────────3───┬─────────3───┬─────────0───┬─────────0───┐ B╟─────1─────1p┼0────0─────0─┼─────1─────1─┼─────1─────1─┤ G╟───0───0─────┼───0───0─────┼───2───2─────┼───2───2─────┤ D╟─────────────┼─────────────┼─────────────┼─────────────┤ A╟─3───────────┼2────────────┼─0───────────┼─────────────┤ E╙─────────────┴─────────────┴─────────────┴─3───────────┘

I couldn't hear that at all in the first line but it is quite clear the second time through. Are we listening to the same version? It's the sort of thing he might do one time and not another.

Got it. It's the same video but as phxguy asked about the first verse I ignored the intro. You are right, he does that first time through on the intro.
