1968 Aria all-laminate nylon string. Bought it for $20 in 1971.
I promise to never sell it. What would be the point? |

I believe Jayson Bowerman's base is in the limit. Maybe a pair of OMs or an OM and an SJ as every Breedlove Revival I've seen with his signature has been remarkable. Maybe a Furch for the third? I love their neck and we could do some damage to the wood stash at that number. All of them built light, airy, and visually clean/spare. If I had the 15k to put into a single instrument, I'd be all over the usual suspects here (Ben and Bruce, squinting hard in your general direction), but I think I'd be utterly delighted with the set outlined above.

Nope...three doesn’t work for me. I got two for less than $5,000 and couldn’t be happier (see sig).

I guess my thinking goes against the grain of the consumerist mindset that dominates but is it really meant to be a challenge to choose three guitars with a budget of $5,000 each?
Playing the game, I'm quite content with my D-28 and Telecaster. If I had to buy a third guitar I'd probably plump for a nice Spanish nylon classical. Possibly one of the mid-range Jose Ramirez guitars. Last edited by wattsy; 09-15-2019 at 10:37 PM. |

An American strat and two Gibson J 45's an old one and my 99 rosewood.
Then all kinds of different strings, capos, amps and picks. |
