Chet Atkins fans, Yakety Axe??
Sounds to me like he isn't using his usual right hand technique on this song. Am I right? Sounds like flatpicking.
Anyone know his technique on this tune?? |

Chet can do it all! I can't tell what he is doing on that track, but I love that CD with Mark K. Talking back and forth as they play...

Chet Atkins
I'm new here and can't figure out how to "be online". Recently I've been getting into bluegrass. I bought a "Chet Atkins/Jerry Reed" DVD and after seeing that, I'm ordering a Chet Atkins instructional DVD. Being new to flatpicking, I tend to use a lot of 3 note chromatics varying between the major and minor pentatonics. From what I saw of the video, Chet does some flat picking on Yakety Axe, but then throws in some open string arpeggios at the end of it. Take care
