Default A way to, perhaps, meet guitarists near you

... CL ads for guitars that are similar to yours.

I just responded to such an ad, not to buy the guitar but to possibly make a new friend nearby to play guitars with ... of course on the front porch wearing masks.

He responded favorably and lives just 2 blocks away, so we'll talk soon.
Cool.

I've never tried this before.

Tico,

I did it years ago when I first started playing and I didn’t know much. The dude was helpful and cool. We played about hour and half at a local park

On another note, I found both my Guitar Instructors on Craigslist over the years... they both are and were Awesome Guitar Players With the first same name yo boot....

Somehow stuff like that seems a little more precious these days. Stay healthy and have fun.

Cool

I found that another good way to meet other guitar players is to open a guitar repair/luthier shop. AND you get to play their guitars. AND they PAY you for it!

I've ended up finding other musicians to play with me at church this way. I've used Facebook Marketplace as well.

Sounds like a great way to meet new people and have fun! I'm currently in process of meeting some one to play with. I'll be talking with them for first time next week hopefully. My boss is hooking me up.
