An unbelievable price for an unbelievable D35 with Brazilian rosewood.

Too many dreads in my closet.

A very good condition 1969 Martin D 35 with beautiful Brazilian RW and spruce top.

Recently went through a complete professional setup and refurbishment.
Frets were leveled, cleaned, crowned.
Fret board in great condition.
Tuners cleaned and up to snuff.
Strung with D’Addario medium PB‘a
Spruce top was replaced in the mid ‘80s. Has some minor weather checking on the lower bout.
Looks like the pickguard was replaced as well.
Bone nut and saddle cleaned out. Bridge also cleaned up.
Neck was reset in the ‘80’s and recently tweaked
A 2-3” crack at the lower back near the left side binding. It was cleated and recently pressure glued to maintain stability.
No other cracks.
Intonation adjusted.

Now kept in temperature and humidity controlled environment.

A 52 year old dreadnought with minor play wear.

A steal at this price.

Looks beautiful, I always had a soft spot for those Brazilian rosewood D-35's. My first nice guitar was a '71 D-35. It was Indian rosewood, and I always liked the extra little bit of sparkle the Brazilian added to the earlier 35's. Someone will give this a nice home.

Yes sir. This D35 sings. We did an A - B with a 1972 D35 and there is no doubt that 1969 Brazilian RW was a better sounding guitar.

Nice guitar. So when the top was replaced, was the bridge and bridge plate replaced? If so, does it have the large laminated rosewood bridge plate that Martin started using in '69, or was the bridge plate replaced with a small solid maple bridge plate as was used in '67 and earlier?

The new bridge plate is rosewood. Probably to conform with the original. Doesn’t appear to be a laminate. The bridge was also replaced as well as the pickguard.
