Default New Martin DRS1

I was looking at threads about the Martin DRS1 and I noticed they have changed them. They no longer have the stratabond necks, but actually have solid mahogany necks.

I was wondering if anyone has tried the new models and what their opinions may be of said new model.

I had a chance to try one last night and was a bit smitten with it. Brand new out of the box, I was told it is a 2016 model. It wasn't very loud, kinda polite. Very warm and good mids and highs. I imagine it sounding better with time.
The tone knob on the Fishman didn't seem to do a whole lot, but over all didn't sound too bad. I can see that being replaced eventually.
The guitar seems like it would make a great gigging workhorse without spending a ton of money.

Any thoughts?

*EDIT* I had it as "DSR1", not DRS1- HI hope I did not cause any confusion.

I have one and love it, very deep and resonant, strung with Elixir mediums...

I think the DRS series are great guitars and would make excellent gigging guitars. Not to pricey if they get nicked up but they have the quality and sound that makes them enjoyable to play.

I have a 2015 model with the wood neck. I have d'addario bluegrass strings on it.
The only thing i did was swap the tuners out for Grover 18:1 sta tites.
its a good strummer and really good for finger style.

Was there an issue with the stock tuners?

Not really no, i just didn't like them.
The Grovers do have a better gear ratio though.
