New refurbished computer day...
My old computer was running really slow and was about 5 years old, so I decided it was time to update it. I found a refurbished Dell with a 500 gig solid state drive, 16 gig memory, i7, Windows 10 Pro for under $400 bucks. I loaded up Cakewalk by Band Labs and an old copy of Adobe Audition CS6, so now I’m good to go. Runs great !!!!

I have stayed away from Dell after having 3 of them burn up motherboards within 5 years of new purchase. My workplace also went away from Dell for same reason. Bought a refurbished HP from Walmart for $250 + 3 year replacement warranty ($60), still running great 4 years later (after dealing with Win 10 updates that kept things *finicky* for a while).
My old HP running Win 7 had become sluggish - the 500G hard drive was 85% full. Once I moved all the photo files out of it and deleted all the video raw files, it started running fine again, I use it as my recording computer.

I’ve had the opposite experience, Dell has been great for me, HP stuff is always a pain.
