Default Pierce Pettis Brithday Bash

Headed to McCoy Farm and Garden (Signal Mtn, TN) for Pierce Pettis, birthday party. Good music and a good time with and for a great singer, song writer, guitar player and human being ! How can you beat a $10 ticket ?

If I was anywhere close I'd be there. If everyone had my taste in music, tickets to Pierce would be $200 and tickets to what's left of the Eagles and Stones would be $10

Mr. Pettis is a true gentleman, fine songwriter and fabulous guitar player.

Can't say that I had ever heard of him before , but after some searching , I have come to the conclusion that a performance by Pierce Pettis in Sourwood honey country should be a great mix .
I am envious .

I like his music and playing and he has an interesting voice as well. As you hint at calling him a true gentleman, he is a very kind, sensitive and personable fellow even with strangers. This will be my third time seeing him at intament venues. Once with 15 others in a church, Once with 10 others in a living room and now at this farm that I never been to. always a great time !

John

John, this is the second time I’ve seen a Pierce Pettis thread on here by you, and I’m jealous again. Tell is how it was. I started listening to him in college 20 years ago, and would love to see him. I’ve toyed with the idea of trying to get him to make a Texas swing. Here’s to hoping.

he was awesome as always ! such an interesting lyricist, vocalist and player with his own unique style for all three. Playing was done on three guitars (Breedlove, Laravee and I forget the third, maybe a martin) with a hybrid picking style. He has a quivering vibrato to his voice that stirs your soul. And his songs just get you thinking about life, love, parents, friends, yourself and God. Only about 15 people showed which was fine for me. Well worth the drive.
