Don't believe the hype! Many, many great players do this! And they use capos too!

Playing on a heavily cushioned rocking chair!

I have to learn to relax my left hand also. Very difficult habit to break.

Challenging myself with a new song, then tiring of it before I even get good at playing it!

Hate that...

Also, I never 'warm up', but I do thumb wrap.

Same here...so annoying! Sometimes I take a break for a couple of days and it comes to me easier.

I got in this horrible habit early on. I play an A with my middle finger mashed over three strings.

I REALLY need to go back and practice an A because there are so many embellishments that can be done if you play it with three fingers.

I like to sit back in my chair and sometimes the guitar drifts or slides a little bit into my lap. But now that I have a dread it may be a plus to avoid any shoulder issues.

My worst habit was sitting down to play, feeling a lack of interest, then putting the guitar down and walking away. Due to that bad habit, I haven't played acoustic guitar for eight years. You will notice that I joined in 2012, but haven't posted since that year. When I finally started playing again, I was so sure that AGF had long since dropped me that I attempted to register again. But I got a message saying that someone with my email address was already registered, and to my surprise, that someone was me.

I've always played my E Major and A Minor chords with my 2nd and 3rd fingers reversed. A weird habit that I picked up when I first started playing.

I tried to drop in on the UMGF and they had dumped me. Oh well.
