For Sale: Collings OM1 A JL Julian Lage - SOLD

This is the 1 11/16” nut model with the Julian Lage neck carve, Adirondack top, and custom Collings case. I purchased this new from Eddie’s Guitars in November 2017 but has been a wall hanger for most of the time I’ve owned. I just found that I’m not playing it enough to warrant keeping and have another guitar in mind that I’m looking to buy.

This is really a beautiful instrument and in mint condition with only a few hours playing time. There are plenty of videos on YouTube documenting these guitars and their sound. I do think the Adirondack version is a bit nicer than the Sitka one in terms of sound. This one really sounds broken in, very warm with beautiful sustain and character. My studio is humidity controlled in the winter months, never less than 45% relative humidity so the guitar does not get damaged from dry air. I weighted the guitar at 3.7 lbs, serial #27634.

Haven’t dealt with Kenny before (and I don’t know why anyone would part with a a OM1A JL!), but I do know that I can’t keep my hands off of my JL and find it absolutely intoxicating. A great neck, great feel, and just phenomenal tone. Collings done good with this one. If you’re on the fence, this is a lot cheaper than a new one after the price increase, and if it’s anything like mine, it’s really, really good.

Everett is right about these guitars. They are something special. My reason for selling is simply I don't have time to play all the guitars I have and this one is just not getting played enough. I love the way the neck feels and it really inspires one to play well, make every note count.

I looked at the price now for this guitar and it's very close to $6K before sales tax which some places are collecting. I've offering it well below that and you're getting a guitar in like new condition.
