Default Emerald Guitars ceases production.

Perhaps you already know, but Emerald Guitars has ceased the manufacturing of their graphite guitars.
As a owner of an Emerald guitar, I received a long e-mail form Alistair Hay, founder of the Company. Long story short, Emerald guitars were designed around the stainless steel Parker fretboards. Since Parker was sold over to US Music, they decided not to deliver any more fretboards to Emerald guitars.
It was too costly to re-design the guitars and start producing a new fretboard.
Therefore Alistair Hay has decided to stop production, and focus on his other business (www.biobin.ie).
What a sad story. Alistair Hay was a creative, unconventional guitar builder.
His all graphite guitars were, and are, beautiful looking, beautiful sounding, and they were very reasonably priced.I take my hat off for Alistair.
