I genuinely think that the current Taylor 322s and 324s, the African blackwood with the edge sunburst, might be some of the coolest looking acoustic guitars I've ever seen. This one at Dave's Guitar looks particularly awesome:

I'm completely a function over form kinda guy . . . but I keep almost buying one these. They sound great, but they might look even better.

I can be a bit arrogant, but I thought you guys could respect and relate to someone who's put time and effort into playing guitar. We all know how difficult learning it can be, so why shouldn't we be proud of that?

And Mick, that picture is awesome! Love your Jack Daniels shirt
Hoping I'll still be rocking a guitar with a smile like that once I'm your age as well!

Let us know when you've been doing it 20 years

Seriously, though, nobody''s asked you what music you play...that could definitely play into choosing the right guitar.

This one has a really "airy" tone to it.

Hey I'm not THAT old!!! Oh wait...yes I am...but I'm still gigging 10 or 12 shows a month, riding a Harley and having the time of my life. I know this doesn't sound important right now, but it will later...Music will keep you young. Find the guitar that turns you on and play it until you can't think about not playing it. Just make sure it plays and sounds pretty good too. Guitars are a lot like girls, having a pretty one is great, but if she's a pain to be around do you really want her?

Think Rainsongs Black Ice and the red version of 614ce Taylor. Also, it has to be a steel-string acoustic-electric.

Bonus points if:
- The guitar is a cool color, like white or red.
- It's a cutaway (I love playing classic rock riffs on acoustic).

Super-Duper Bonus points if:
- The guitar is 1000€ and below (I'm a poor student..).

To make this more fun, I'll pick a winner and the winner is going to receive my endless gratitude, which we all know is worth more than any material possessions in the world.
"Cool" means different things to different people. Willie Nelson's Trigger is the coolest guitar in the world to me. Even when I was a teen in the 1970's, a cool guitar was pure wood and looked like wood.

In my opinion, the Luna brand of guitars look really different. Recording King has some as well.
Good luck on your search!

To me 'cool' means understated, not loud, brash and 'check me out'.
