Thanks Hanter! We are back home and all evacuation notices around here have been lifted. Air quality is not great, but we are safe and we made nice lemonade, out of the evacuation lemon....

Praying for all those still in harm's way in so many places!

Meanwhile, Go John, Go.

Paul-this is simply perfect. I LOVE this contrast. This might be the richest, darkest Brazilian I’ve seen, and the back strip compliments nicely. The aesthetics of this are going to be stellar! And the tone—well, you already know how awesome that is going to be!

Hey Memphis1, so glad you popped in! I do miss the Brown Bomb but I know you are taking fine care of it.

Have you put in a order with John yet? Hahahaha

Stay well in the madness. And play beautiful music at every chance!

Here is a pic of Steve's Mitchell, with the abalone purfling. John thinks this is the way to go. I agree, too!
So, no groovy spalted yard Maple top purfling for mine after all.

And we will NOT do the purfling up the neck, as I find it distracting and am easily confused. Especially when performing.

Hopefully we can go back to gigging some day...

Close up of top bevel with a bit of sparkle not yet inlaid.

Tom, you will be glad to know, my pal Steve is VERY HAPPY with his Koa Monster Mitchell.

He wisely opted for the full Pablo Package of John's comfort and adjustable features! If I do say so myself...

Paul, you are a fortunate man! Certainly a beauty on the bench. I had never seen Kiaat previously. I love the warm, amber color. It will look great next to that Brazilian.

Thanks Ken! And thanks for checking in too. John reports he has the Abalone for my top purfling. I expect we will see it pretty soon...

Instigator that I am, I could NOT resist Bob Hess' Larson book. On its way to John... I expect interesting developments eventually.

Wow very very nice John! And looks ultra comfortable too Paul!

Is that "cutaway contour/bevel" something new? I wasn't aware it was an option, or I would have gone for it too!

Smile Wooohoooo!

Holy Smokes John! This looks Awesome!!! YUMMY.

The figure in the Kiaat looks fantastic and the SUPER CEDAR top is really interesting too. I am glad I took your advice and went for the abalone top purfling!

Beautiful. Yay

Hanter, now you have a reason to order another...

I have asked John for every possible comfort feature, as I find playing hurts enough anymore even with all the ergonomic help I can get! Hahahaha

Carry on all, and have FUN!

Paul

Thank you Hanter

Paul has a standing order to bevel everything He might touch on the guitar. I even bevel the latches on the guitar case and the handle is impossible to hold on to. The man likes his comfort.

I’m glad you like it Paul. I thought the Kiaat and the curly mahogany turned out nice against the dark rosewood. You can thank Hanter for the lead on the curly mahogany.
