Gibson j-200
1989 Gibson J-200. $4800 OBO. Incredible sounding j-200. simply the best sounding guitar i have played in 40 years. Notes are snappy, almost have a 12-string liveliness to them. Great note separation. This is from the Bozeman, MT shop just after it opened (Ren Ferguson era). The story goes that when Ren opened up the Bozeman shop he had a supply of European maple (sycamore) that he used to build the j-200’s/doves until he ran out in early 1990. European maple is different than the western maple most j-200’s are made with, very light and resonate. I will give a 24 hr. Approval period to the buyer to make sure you agree! I bought this on here several years ago and swore i would never sell but other hobbies are calling. There are two minor scratches in the finish (see photos), one one the back of the guitar and one on the bottom of the bout, Neither go into the wood. Very minor fret wear on the first two frets. Otherwise incredible shape for a 35 year old guitar.
