(Sold)Collings OM1 Engelmann Vintage Now
Here’s a spectacular deal on an awesome Collings OM1-E. $SOLD shipped and Paypal’d USA. No trades, thanks!
It was custom ordered via The Podium in Minneapolis and delivered in 2010. It's an exceptional finger picker, upgraded with an Engelmann Spruce top and a Vintage Now neck, Western Sunburst finish, Tortoise Shell binding on both sides of the guitar, and Ebony tuning pegs on the Waverly tuners. It has a 1.75" bone nut, and 2 5/16" saddle spacing. Additional upgrades include John Pearse ebony arm rest, and an installed K&K Mini pickup. It is in outstanding condition for a 9 year old guitar, with just barely visible signs of play wear swirling on the back. It has a nice thick treble with much sustain, and sings sweetly to the lightest touch. It has recently been gone over by my tech and plays super well with a low action, great note separation and a balanced output up and down the fretboard. Here’s the Catch - The original owner installed the arm rest the day he received the guitar from Collings, before the finish had cured. The arm rest is bonded to the finish. A later attempt to remove the rest revealed that the finish was coming up with the arm rest. Basically, you’ll have to leave the armrest on, or deal with the pain and cost of trying to match the sunburst. The top itself is structurally fine, no cracks. You’d never think this guitar was anything but mint with the armrest on. Hence, a great deal on a spectacular guitar. Please reach out with questions, thanks very much!

That's a great price on a beautiful guitar. I might suggest calling collings and asking if there's a solution that would gently dislodge the arm rest. Either way, great deal.
