anybody else have a lifelong friend?

I still maintain contact with my best "old friend", whom I met at at age 7, almost 60 years ago.

Although we have led completley different lives, we have kept in touch over the years.

When we were children ,I was the musician and he never seemed interested in music.

I was skeptical when he took up mandolin about 20 years ago.We jammed about 8 years ago and I was very pleased and surprised regarding his virtuosity.

My wife and I moved recently to the Pacific North West.My old friend lives much closer to me now and I find that to be very comforting...
