I thought folks might enjoy this, a photo of one of the 25 labels, along with Irene Stearns's letter to Dale, both sitting on my 1943 SJ, which is the inspiration for Juston's guitar. Oh, and Irene is the last, surviving Kalamazoo Gal.

And, those chunks of maple that came from the Gibson factory during WWII:

Dale is using this wood for the bridge plates and the "banners."

So cool! Love Irene’s letter, too. So sweet.

Thanks for the update. If I come into some unexpected money, then I know exactly where it will be going. Beautiful guitars.

So awesome... I can almost smell the wood..
I haven’t heard from Dale when he is going to start my build, but this is almost like watching it happen... Very excited...

John Thomas and Dale Fairbanks know how to bring that WWII mojo too the present. The bridge plates are an outstanding touch as is the signed label. I'm glad Juston is participating in such an historic project.

I plan on sharing another historic project with you all in a few weeks.

Juston, I just talked with Dale and he said that he is building both of ours together... I’m so stoked.. He just has not sent me any pics.. In fact, you can actually see my Gal in the background of some of your pics..
He said that he’s have trouble telling them apart. Hope he doesn’t put my 13 fret neck on your guitar..[emoji41]

I just added another thing to do something special with mine, but I will save that for the build thread that I will start as soon as I get some pics from Dale....[emoji2]

Looking forward to your build thread and to the reveal of the "something special."

I love the look of the SJ binding. So classy.
