Tony Vines Parlor - African Blackwood - sold!
Hi Gang,
After nearly a decade of owning this amazing guitar it's time for it to find a new home and player to inspire. It's a wonderful fingerstyle instrument that's very comfortable to play and sounds absolutely delightful. Some details on the guitar: It was built for me by Tony in 2007. It's the parlor prototype that later became his "Colorado" model. The guitar features a variety of amazing woods. The back and sides and bridge are African Blackwood. A lovely bit of sapwood in the center. The top is Italian Alpine Spruce. The five piece neck is Mahogany, Maple and Wenge and the binding is Koa. The rosette is lacewood and the faceplate and fretboard are Macassar ebony. The frets are stainless steel with a bone nut and saddle. The tuners are snakewood waverly's. The nut width is 1 13/16 and the saddle spacing is 2 5/16. The guitar was set up by the famed Richard Starkey in Nashville. He also re-glued the bridge as it was coming up back in 2008. As expected, he did an amazing job. The guitar is amazing condition with very little wear. Attached are some photos. It's hard to seeing the photos but you can see where the heal block meets the African Blackwood back and sides but there are no cracks. Here are some photos...
