Martin D-18 Authentic 2013

Here’s a 2013 D-18 1939 Authentic for sale, which I believe is the first year for this instrument. I am the original owner, buying it from Jon at My Favorite Guitars back when they were in Florida. Honestly, I’ve played it probably a total of 10 hours since I purchased. When I first received, I put the instrument on the stand and unleashed my Tonerite for 2-3 days. It sounded amazing right out of the box and seemed to sound better after the Tonerite. Although this certainly technically is a used instrument, it’s completely unblemished since it hasn’t really been out of the case much except as described above. It’s pre-VTS, and the instrument has some feint, but very attractive bear claw, which was pretty common from my understanding for 18 models’ in the 30’s and 40’s. I tried to take pictures minimizing the glare, so if you see any perceived imperfections, know its glare. It comes with the standard Authentic case and is set up very comfortably for strumming and fingerpicking. I’ve been fortunate to own a couple different Authentic’s, both VTS and non-VTS, and this is one of the nicest I’ve played. I’m selling a couple of instruments to offset some personal expenses (my daughter’s wedding…) If you’re looking for a “like new” ’39 D-18 Authentic, this is for you!
