Gold Tone GRS vs National Delphi
I am thinking about getting my first steel body resonator. There are none around me to try. I see two in my price range on the net, a National Delphi and a Gold Tone GRS. I have listened to sound clips on the net for both. Huge tone variation, as you would expect, based on who is playing each guitar. Have any of you played both and able describe the difference in tone and build? I want it for playing finger picking blues in both standard tuning and open tuning with a slide.
I have a Gold Tone Beard PBR-D. The PBR-D is a great resonator but I would also like to add a decent steel body to my guitars. |

I have no experience with the Gold Tone but have owned several National Reso-Phonic guitars and have never been disappointed in one. Highly recommend them!

Hands down get a Delphi they are great guitars I'd never part with mine. It's been my main instrument for the last ten years, been around the world with me and is my "deserted island" "house on fire grab one guitar" "sell my collection except one guitar" guitar.
