Default G&L S-500 USA NGD

I have really big hands and have fought with smaller fret boards for a long time. Most all G&L's have 1-5/8" nut widths which leaves them out of the picture for me. More have the 1-11/16" nut now but still have the 1-5/8" spacing. I looked for 2 years to find a used ASAT with a wider nut. Finally got tired of looking and settled in on a Fender American Standard Telecaster. The other day I finally had the opportunity to purchase a wider model. This one has a 1-3/4" nut. One of only two I've seen in my searches. The other was a Legacy, which I would have purchased but was a little strapped for cash at the time. A picture could never come close to showing how beautiful this guitar is. Craftsmanship beyond expectations and one of the finest instruments I've ever played. George & Leo got it right! It's a little difficult going back and forth between different widths. Maybe the others will go and this will be the soul survivor. Time will tell. And like Bob said, the vanilla smell! Oh! The vanilla smell! Purchased it used and it has two small holes in the pick guard where a Roland Synth pickup was once mounted. Other than that she's a peach! A strat shaped guitar with a mahogany body. I'm feeling a slide session coming on!

Very nice! I’ve owned a few G&L’s over the years. Every one I’ve owned, no matter USA or otherwise we’re VERY well built examples. Congrats on a fantastic new addition. Play it in good health, Sir.

Congrats Revy! One day I'll own a G&L but for now I'll admire your new G&L. Enjoy!

My G&L S-500 was the only guitar I ever regretted selling. Enjoy.
