Coupla brands not mentioned - I seem to remember Tony Rice said (somewhere, sometime) that he used was D'aquisto strings - do they still exist?
Evidently the company went out of business a few years ago. Greg Boyd's House of Fine Instruments, a cool music store in Billings, Montana located in a 1950's or 60's suburban style ranch house, has a supply here for $10 a set:

Juststrings.com has single strings for bass and guitar only, no sets.

Tony Rice himself switched his endorsement to Martin Retro strings several years ago: the Tony Rice set with his preferred gauges came out on the market about four or five months before the whole product line was introduced.

So presumably the Martin Retros are the closest thing to the D'Aquisto nickel set previously endorsed by Tony Rice that you can get.

He also used the Vinci strings I mentioned above.
