For those who follow Mark Hatcher's build threads in the Custom Shop section of AGF, his work needs no introduction. He builds beautiful guitars that sound as good as they look! I currently own two Hatcher guitars and have another commission with him starting soon - so I am offering this one for sale to help fund the new build.

I've priced this one aggressively and well below Mark's base price - even before the addition of many stellar upgrades included on this guitar. The Piña is Mark's take on a parlor sized instrument but the sound is anything but small. It feels and sounds more like a killer 00 to me. For this build, commissioned by a respected AGF member, a Master Grade Western Red Cedar Top was selected paired with a beautiful set of AAA Koa that Mark brought back from Hawaii. His voicing and the active back design gives this guitar a rich and balanced sound with surprising low end for a smaller guitar.

Hatcher really pulled out all the stops on this one with custom marquetry on the back of the neck, koa live edge headstock trimmed in faceted wooly mammoth tusk with Thuya burl on the back of the headstock; Abalone, cocobolo and WM tusk custom fingerboard inlays, cocobolo binding and end wedge, a florentine cutaway and his own custom crafted cocobolo turner knobs on the Gotoh 510 mini tuning machines. Bone strap button and end pin.

Both the guitar and custom fit Cedar Creek case are in excellent used condition with no issues.
