What's the best sounding laminate guitar you can remember hearing?
I got an Aria A-560 classical in 1973 and for 30 years thought it was all solid. Later saw something that the back/sides were laminate. Could have fooled me.... still sounds wonderful!
15 year’s ago I bought My daughter an x series Martin, thinking it would be better for humidity of summer camp It looks like Formica but sounds pretty good. Last edited by whvick; 07-29-2019 at 09:07 PM. |

1974 Citation 7001. My 1st acoustic. Laminated top, sides and back. It sounds almost identical to new Hummingbird i tried at Sam Ash last year. I like to keep it in altered tunings because it is such a beast. I use it to practice Going to California and The Rain Song by Zep. Right now it is set up for Suite Judy Blue Eyes ala James James version.
