Default Fishman double trouble

I have two Fishman preamps installed on my guitars and having issues on both of them:
- The Matrix Infinity puts out no sound at all;
- The Ellipse Aura is putting out a high pitched noise and has the Battery light on all the time (even with a brand new battery).
Both problems started while I was playing (using different equipment for each).
I noticed the battery is getting warm on both.
Could I be doing something that is damaging them?

Were you using the same cable?

It sounds like your 1/4" cable may have a short or high resistance path developing internally to the cable. If there's a high resistance path within the cable it can cause a intermittent "no output" condition or high current draw from the battery during use.

The thing is: nothing was the same when the problems started: different guitars, amps, cables... I'm no expert but I agree that there might be a short somewhere.

There are two types of 1/4" cords.
One if for mono and the other is for stereo.
Be sure to have the correct cable for your application.
