So many great dramatic performances, and

That slayed me when I saw it as a kid.

My favorite Hackman role - by a lot - is Royal Tenenbaum, the errant, erstwhile paterfamilias in The Royal Tenenbaums. Great performance.

What a great movie, He is one of my all time favorite actors.

When I was in my early 20s I lived in Santa Barbara CA and I worked for the local cable company. He was selling his house in Montecito I went to do the disconnect and was able to check out his house, what a beautiful place.

He looked middle-aged when he was young, and now, irrationally, I sort of expect him to look the same - as he did when he was in Superman. I never imagine him to look anything other than middle-aged. Odd.

I'm with you on that... but... I picked The Conversation because it
had Hackman and even April (Elizabeth Macrae) from Gunsmoke, but I
wished I could get that two hours back later...

I pick that one too, but because it's one of the best movies ever.

no doubt my favorite movie with so many fantastic people

Gene Hackman
Gene Wilder
Peter Boyle
Madeline Kahn
Marty Feldman
Terry Garr

was a favorite of my late wife's brother John too, we'd watch it everytime he came up to visit form Delaware. lately when I see it now, it reminds me of John.

lol right? He’s been looking like he’s 55 since Superman! Which by the way was my favorite villain of the Christopher Reeve Superman movies. I was just a kid and was mesmerized in how he brought up that character. Evil to the core, but couldn’t help but to like him.

He was a bit like Alan Rickman as the villain in Robin Hood: a lot more fun than the hero!

Right?

"He'd kill us if he had the chance."
