Default I discovered a new alt tuning CGCGCC.. and it's pretty cool!

I was youtubing and found this cat tuning his guitar to CGCGCG.. I gave that a shot.. but the high e. IT was not happy, it's was scary tight. So I decided I would down tune to c.. and it makes the guitar take on a 12!string vibe.. this is not good for chords any thing,, but it shines in double octave stuff and stuff because every other string is unison accept for high e, that is in unison to the b string. The low C is quite nice for the first string give it a go.. see what you think. It might be good for busting out of a rut. I know I did not discover it.. but I did kinda .. well sorta lol.. any way..
It's fun to experiment..

Sorry,, it's a bit hacky, and it's all electric, new to the acoustic thing.

Playing with tunings is a good way to open your mind to alternate possibilities, almost as well as playing other types of instruments.

I'm currently doing the "Adventures in CGDGBE!" topic in the Show and Tell section and am really enjoying that tuning.

I know a couple of recording artists have used that tuning but can't remember who. Martin Simpson maybe?

Anyway, here's some stuff:
