Default Scarlett18i8 sound interface

I use this interface with condenser mics and dynamic. 48V necessary for condenser. the button under the first input that turns on 48v also appears to work second input also. Will the use of the 48v damage a dynamic mic like shure 58 mic?

No but Wes Dooley of AEA Microphones recommends that the 48v be off when connecting/disconnecting a dynamic mic.
