Cordoba Solista opinions, please…
Hi folks, I was in a local mom and pop music store here in town, and saw that they had taken in a Córdoba Solista classical guitar… the owner had purchased it from an estate sale. It seems to be in very good condition, don’t know the age of the guitar… Is there some way to tell from the serial number?
At any rate, just wanted to get you experts to chime in on the quality of this guitar and if $1500 is a good price for one in excellent condition? |

In my opinion 1500 would be quite high....you can do much better price-wise.
I see them a lot closer to 1k often. There is a seller here on the forum asking 1200 shipped for a Solista with a cutaway and electronics. https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...hlight=cordoba Solista is a well made guitar and the ones I've had were high end student models. The last one I had stayed for about a year or so and I made several modifications that made it play and sound much better, including port installation. My Loriente won out in the end, just a little louder and more robust. Here's a dealer selling brand new Solistas for 1450 shipped: https://www.ebay.com/itm/18561441698...Bk9SR86u3vbEYQ

If I were to buy a new Cordoba Espana Solista right now, I'd buy it here:
All Strings Nylon Chuck at All String Nylon is a wonderful guy to deal with. He'll inspect the guitar and set it up to your specs before shipping it out. |
