Absolutely love it.
Thanks, Bruce! I know that you're a Jumbo enthusiast, and you're actually the first person I thought of, when it came to sharing my photos and experience. So glad you saw this post right away.

I am three dark rosewoods now, and thought of white maple as odd. But now, seeing and knowing it was made by Eastman, yours makes me curious to hear one. It must be very good.

Is this 17" lower bout.

I have the impression that decades ago, many of the Jumbos were done with Maple. Why? Is that to give clarity given the large body?

And do Jumbos have greater internal volume than dreadnoughts?

Again, beautiful!!
Jumbos are done with Maple b/c the brighter, more articulate tonewood helps to offset the bigger body size. It keeps a guitar this size from becoming too boomy or muddled in sound.

And yes, body dimensions are 17" --- https://www.eastmanguitars.com/ac630_bd

Hey, Don. I think 12-string is a wider nut b/c of more strings. But this is a standard 1-3/4" nut width. Super comfy to play!

Oooooh my! Absolutely stunning. I can practically hear it...bold, clear and crisp. A real jaw dropper in looks and (I’m sure) tone. Congrats, my friend!

Wow, what a beautifully made guitar. And things being what they are in Gibson world, I'd bet you a buck it sounds as good or better than a J200.

Oh no! Just when I thought that my GAS was quelled.
How much does this model cost?

Nevermind I found it. Not bad!

Nice to see a decent bridge on a grand jumbo. I agree with the others, that maple is stunning, and the headstock inlay is beautiful. Congrats!

My preference is Rosewood, as well, so this guitar is definitely stepping out of my comfort zone (in the best way possible!). It's my first Jumbo, first Maple body, and first Engelmann top.

I love maple guitars. I enjoy blonde bombshells too!

Glad yours has the tone right away.

Happy Birthday.

Same price as your E40OM-SB. Both are wonderful guitars, although completely different instruments.
