Default Tascam DP-008

Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on the Tascam DP-008 Portable recording device ? I am looking for something simple to record with.

Any other thoughts or experiences with devices would be appreciated as well.

Thanks,

Bud

I don't have any experience with the Tascam DP-008 but it is a digital recorder that I would consider if I were in the market for one. Unlike some of its competitors, it has individual controls for many functions. Some designs would send you through a maze of menus to control those same functions.

I prefer the Boss BR-800. Singing in a duo I like the four mic inputs. I'm also used to the BR-600 which is its very similar predecessor. The controls aren't an issue for me, as I use an analog mixer for a front end anyway.

For quick and easy stuff I like my Zoom H2.
