Default SOLD 1995 Taylor GA-MC Ltd Edition #290/300

FOR SALE ONLY - Sorry but NO TRADES

SOLD

Up for sale is the last guitar of my downsizing. The 90's built Taylors have their own following, for sure. And this guitar lives up to the hype. Beautiful Western Red Cedar over gorgeous Mahogany back and sides. No cutaway or electronics. This guitar will handle anything you got, short of Bluegrass.

Specs to note:
-Standard scale 25.5"
-One-piece Non NT mahogany neck
-Ebony fretboard
-Ebony bridge
-Ebony bridgepins with MOP inlay (in 1990s "smiley" arrangement)
-Tusq nut & saddle (aged nicely)
-Nut 1.75"
-Rosewood headstock cap and rosewood truss rod cover
-Abalone rosette
-MOP inlays
-Tortoiseshell binding
-Gotoh 510's (original Grover Rotomatic tuners included)
-Original Pink Poodle case - Has some marks on it, but all 5 latches work properly

The original owner bought it in 1996 as a 50th bday present for himself. Played it for ~4 months, cased it, and stuck it in his closet for the next 22 years. I purchased it from him and immediately brought it to Third Coast Guitars (in Chicago) for a thorough inspection. They went over the entire guitar and performed the following - inspection for cracks/loose braces, fret level and cleaning, tuner swap, and set up. Results - no damage from any humidity issues and it's set up to go. The guitar has since been stored in a properly humidity controlled environment. There is ZERO fret wear. It currently has Martin Retro's on there but they need to be replaced, so I will add a new set of John Pearse PB Med-Lights.

I have bought and sold several guitars here and can provide references, if necessary.

Thank you for looking.
Vince
