Default Bespoke Build : Mark Gaiero OMC Euro/ClaroWalnut : Fine Luthiers

Our previous bespoke build with Mark was very successful so we are so excited about this build.
Previous build link > https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=513916

As you checked out MW’s recent Luthier Stories, Mark just graduated from his apprenticeship to Ervin Somogyi. Mark’s departure from Ervin’s workshop will be happening sometime in 2019. So we grabbed 2 build slots for 2019 delivery. This bespoke build is sold to one of our clients. Mark has already started this build so gotta share this with you guys!

As the long-term plan for Gaiero guitars, Mark doesn't want to hold to the same aesthetic appointments repeatedly. He would love to try a variation from the current Micro Mosaic Pattern.
The client of this build also agreed to Mark's philosophy so we will see something different this time!

Spec
Body - OMC (Florentine Cutaway)
Top - European Spruce
B/S - Claro Walnut
Rosette - Gaiero Rosette (New Type)
Backstrip - Koa
Wedge - Rocklite
Purfling - White
Binding - Flamed Koa
Neck - Walnut
Inlays - Mosaic pattern (fretboard, heelcap, End Wedge)
Heelcap - Rocklite
Headstock front veneer - Granadillo bound with Rocklite and White purfling
Headstock back veneer - Rocklite
Fretboard - Granadillo bound with Rocklite
Bridge - Granadillo
Frets - EVO gold frets
1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" saddle

Mark had a good looking Claro Walnut set so that will be matched with a nice Euro Spruce set.

1. Top plate joined. (Euro)

2. Back on shooting board. (Claro)

3. Back center reinforcement strip being glued to back in go-bar deck.

Looking forward to this build!

If you are interested in Gaiero Guitars, feel free to get in touch with us~

Cheers

Alan

If this guitar sounds anything like it looks, it should be a winner. Nice visual aesthetics and great craftsmanship shown here.

Best,
Jayne

Hi, Folks

Mark will get us the studio photos of the finished guitar later.
The bridge was glued on last week. Can't wait to see the final!

Mark will bring it to the La Conner Show(May 10-12), so if you're going there you can check out this beauty!

Cheers,

Alan
