That's great! I really liked it.

I remember that tune well even though I haven't heard it in quite a while. I enjoyed Al Stewart's music because of the two fantastic acoustic guitars. Stewart was an excellent guitarist and Peter White was outstanding. I loved the guitar work Peter did on, "On the Border." You should do that one next.

Wonderful job! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much, Kerbie! I'm actually thinking of following the cat theme for the next one (having also recently done Lucifer Sam), so I'll have a feline trilogy - considering a rather prog song - still investigating if I can pull it off!

Well done! Where were the street market scenes taken? Really sets the mood.

Default Do you know the Al Stewart/Paul Simon Connection?

A short, fun little video about Al Stewart here. Were it not for Paul Simon, we'd never have heard the name Al Stewart.

Thanks Roger!

The market scenes are from Marrakech, Morocco.

Fascinating. What a nice fellow he seems to be.

I go all the way back to Love Chronicles for my first acquaintance with Mr. Stewart (and his casual, but oh-so-apt dropping of the f-bomb in a song), and rather lost touch after that. I had no idea about the Paul Simon connection.

Year of the Cat is a classic, though, and I have fond memories of playing Mother Russia in various settings with another playing partner in the late 80s.

Fantastic! I loved every second of it.

Loved the fact that there was an actual cat in the street market, LOL.

Thanks, Steve! I originally tried to "green screen" one of my cats into the video, but he wouldn't perform as required or take stage direction

Colin that was wonderful! I used to include that song in my set, you have given me thought to bring it back... Your Tak, recording, and all sound good and well performed.

Cheers!
